Before I was a photographer I was a primary school teacher for 18 years.

I was passionate about providing creative, hands on learning for the pupils in my care in a career which saw me teach from EYFS all the way to Year 6 (with some stops in between!)

I'm also a Mum and choosing the school that my children went to was a big responsibility fo me - I wanted a school that cared for the whole child, that provided a rich curriculum with lots of opportunities to explore and take risks.

The photographs of your setting should tell the story of what you do, from the unique perspective of the children - your photographer should be down on the floor with them, peeking over their shoulder and showing prospective parents the rich experiences that you provide.

As a trained teacher I am comfortable and happy engaging with the children I photograph and also have a good grasp of the curriculum to ensure I show the aspects that you want to show, in a "behind the scenes" style.

It should demonstrate the warmth and inclusion that the children who attend experience and the sense of community - as well as all of the exciting learning oppportunities you provide - from lunch time, to forest school to PE and everything in between to show how special everyday life is at your setting.
